This course will help youth learn, develop and practice the skills to become a better golfer: fitness and nutrition, golf skills, sportsmanship, etiquette and rules, golf and “near golf” experiences, golf and physical assessments. Student will be evaluated through a long-term player development program. Sessions are 3 days, 2 1/2 hours each day.
Learn the FUNdamentals of the golf swing and short game, including putting, chipping and pitching. Life skills/etiquette, easy practice drills and fun training tools will be applied with each phase of the game. Students may be divided into two smaller groups based on age and skill level. Sessions run 4 weeks, 70 min. per class.
Junior girls will learn the game of golf in an environment with other girls where they can be free to be themselves and learn at their own pace. Girls will be introduced to the FUNdamentals of the game while infusing fun opportunities to be social within the programming to enjoy the game. Sessions run 4 weeks, 70 min. per class.
Youth will learn the FUNdamentals of the game outside in a safe environment using colorful training tools and clubs. Golf movement patterns for the putting stroke and swing safety guidelines will be taught. 50 min. class periods, two times a week for two weeks.
